Following the annulment decision and the evacuation of the CHP headquarters, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu appeared before the cameras and stated that the injunction must be lifted before the congress can take place. KILIÇDAROĞLU: THE CONGRESS WILL BE HELD AFTER THE INJUNCTION IS LIFTED
Stating that the congress will be held, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu said that the injunction issued by the court must first be lifted. In his statement, Kılıçdaroğlu said, "We will hold the congress. Can a party exist without a congress? It must be conducted on a legal basis. The congress will be held after the injunction is lifted. Undoubtedly, this is a matter for legal experts. We will meet with our legal colleagues and discuss how we can hold the congress as soon as possible."

ÖZGÜR ÖZEL: THE INJUNCTION IS NOT AN OBSTACLE
CHP Group Chair Özgür Özel, however, offered a different assessment. Özel argued that the current injunction does not prevent the congress from being held. Özel said, "An ordinary or extraordinary congress is a new founding act. Therefore, the existence of an injunction is not an obstacle to holding the congress. The issue is a matter of intent."
The differing interpretations between the two figures have further intensified the debate over the congress process within the CHP.
WHEN WILL THE INJUNCTION BE LIFTED?
Speaking to NTV, legal expert Prof. Dr. Selami Kuran noted that the authority to lift the injunction lies with the Court of Cassation.
Kuran said, "Whether the request of Özgür Özel and his colleagues who applied to the Court of Cassation is accepted or rejected, a period of 6 to 8 months can be anticipated. Of course, given the political dimension of the issue, it is both comprehensive and a decision with serious consequences. If the schedule allows, there is also a possibility of bringing it forward."
"IT COULD BE EXTENDED UP TO 1.5 YEARS"
Legal expert Şükrü Aksu emphasized the importance of the case for Turkish political history. Aksu said, "Since it is an important case in Turkish political history, we can say it could be concluded within a period of six months to one and a half years."
According to legal experts, if the appeal review at the Court of Cassation is conducted with a hearing, the decision process could proceed more quickly.
Şükrü Aksu assessed, "If CHP members want this process to speed up at the Court of Cassation, they can ensure the process progresses very quickly by requesting that the review be conducted with a hearing."
