AK Party Secretary General Eyyüp Kadir İnan made assessments regarding the "Terror-Free Turkey" framework law, which was accepted with 467 votes in the Turkish Grand National Assembly General Assembly. Stating that the process is progressing successfully, İnan emphasized that in the new period, confirmation mechanisms will be taken as a basis rather than a calendar.

"A CONFIRMATION MECHANISM WILL BE ESTABLISHED UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF OUR VICE PRESIDENT"

AK Party Secretary General Eyyüp Kadir İnan, who stated that the process will be carried out with determination, made the following statements regarding the functioning of the new period:

"In the Terror-Free Turkey process, there is no longer a calendar ahead of us, but a confirmation mechanism. In this regard, there are processes that our National Security Council and our security units will reveal. And there are important confirmation mechanisms to be carried out by the board to be established, especially under the leadership of our Vice President. After these confirmations are followed up, just as the Terror-Free Turkey process has progressed successfully and positively step by step until now, I believe it will continue with the same meticulousness from now on."

"THERE IS A GREAT ACCUMULATION OF 21 YEARS"

Stating that the passage of the law proposal in Parliament with a high acceptance vote of 467 was a critical consensus, İnan drew attention to the historical background of the process:

"The passage of a large part of the work with this consensus, with the number 467, was very, very critical. Our institutions carried out a very devoted work and it was built on a very solid foundation. However, we should not look at this process only limited to today. There is a great accumulation and experience that emerged with the Diyarbakır speech our President made 21 years ago. This experience has made the strongest contribution to this process. This achievement, which will be one of our greatest works in a terror-free geography, in peace and permanently, has been an important step for future generations."

"WE DID NOT ALLOW MARGINAL VIEWS TO BE A BARRIER"

Stating that they listened to the criticisms throughout the process but did not allow marginal rhetoric to block the process, İnan concluded his words with thanks:

"We took the opinions of those who criticized, but we did not confine ourselves to their criticisms. The People's Alliance never allowed marginal views to be a barrier to this process, and we remained determined on this issue. We sincerely thank all our deputies who remained determined and voted 'yes', regardless of their political party."
