Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi announced that he will watch the Amedspor-Erzurumspor match to be played on Sunday from the stands together with Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak. It was reported that tickets for the match, which will be played at Tahir Elçi Stadium at 21:30, were sold out in approximately two hours.
Minister of Interior Mustafa Çiftçi made evaluations regarding the Peace and Democratic Society Process and current developments in a television program he attended. In his statements, Çiftçi also touched upon the match to be played on Sunday between Amedspor and Erzurumspor. "SPORTS, A MEANS OF PEACE AND BROTHERHOOD"
Stating that they expect the match to contribute to the process, Çiftçi said, "Sports is a means of peace and brotherhood." Çiftçi noted that Turkey is going through an important threshold in terms of the process and said that state institutions have a responsibility to ensure the process continues and concludes healthily from now on.
MEETING WITH THE ADMINISTRATORS OF 81 PROVINCES
Çiftçi drew attention to the meeting attended by the governors, police chiefs, and gendarmerie commanders of 81 provinces, in which Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Numan Kurtulmuş also took part.
Stating that the measures to be taken for the continuation of the process were comprehensively evaluated at the meeting, Çiftçi said, "We will continue our meetings from now on, and we will decide on the steps we need to take."
"2,763 SEARCH POINTS REMOVED"
Çiftçi also made a statement regarding the search points that have long been used for security purposes in Kurdish provinces. Claiming that 2,763 search points have been removed recently, Çiftçi stated that these points are no longer needed.
TICKETS SOLD OUT IN TWO HOURS
The Amedspor-Erzurumspor match will be played at Tahir Elçi Stadium on Sunday at 21:30. It was reported that the tickets for the match, which went on sale at 09:00, were sold out in approximately two hours.
