In the case of the liquor store murder in Esenyurt, Istanbul, where two people lost their lives, a decision is expected to be made at the hearing scheduled for April 21. The family of Yunus Emre Erzen, who was killed in the attack, claimed that they were offered money to withdraw their complaints.

On July 28, 2023, in Esenyurt, a trial is expected to announce its decision on April 21 regarding the murder of Yunus Emre Erzen and Batuhan Bayındır, who lost their lives at a liquor store, where 10 defendants are being tried. Before the hearing, Yunus Emre Erzen's family and lawyer made statements regarding the case.

"OFFERS OF MONEY ARE STILL COMING"

Kerim Bahadır Şeker, the lawyer of the Erzen family, stated, "Since an opinion has been given, we are expecting a decision hearing. We submitted a 41-page opinion petition regarding the content of the file, legal articles, and our dispute. We want Yunus Emre Erzen to be included in the charges of murder with a motive of blood feud and premeditated murder. If he is not included in this way, a brutal murder will not find a response from the family, in conscience, or before justice. There is pressure on our clients. Offers of money are still being made. There are also allegations regarding the influence on fair trial. We have full faith in the justice of the Republic of Turkey. We will continue this case in every way to ensure that the blood of our clients' son does not go unavenged before justice. We have full faith that the court will give a fair decision," he said.

"I WANT AGGRAVATED LIFE SENTENCE"

Mother Solmaz Erzen stated, "Four people brutally killed him there. The other child had no fault either. The consequence should be an aggravated life sentence. I trust Turkish justice. I want an aggravated life sentence," she expressed.

"AM I GOING TO SELL MY SON'S BLOOD TO YOU?"

The father of the deceased Yunus Emre Erzen, Cantürk Erzen, said, "The prosecutor requested a life sentence in the opinion. There was no premeditation, no blood feud. People are trying to console me as they hear. My world is already over, my child is gone, my job is gone. I trust our court. They are still trying to negotiate peace with us. They say, 'Let's give 25 million, let's give 50 million, go to court and say, "we are not complainants." How can I do such a thing? Am I going to sell my son's blood to you? They should give the necessary punishment. Let them ease the hearts of a mother and father," he spoke.
