Italian Head Coach Vincenzo Montella, with whom the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) decided not to continue, made a farewell post on his social media account.

Montella, who said that every beautiful story has an end, but some journeys leave traces far beyond football, continued his words as follows:
"Being the head coach of the Turkish National Team was a great honor for me. I was appointed three years ago to manage the national team of this beautiful country. Therefore, I would like to wholeheartedly thank the then President Mehmet Büyükekşi and his team, who believed in me at the beginning of our journey and did not withhold their trust and appreciation.
I wholeheartedly thank our players for their devoted struggles, efforts, and commitment. After my head coaching role ended, the countless loving messages I received from them once again proved this strong bond between us. I wholeheartedly thank my technical team and all my colleagues for their endless efforts; our President İbrahim Ethem Hacıosmanoğlu and the Turkish Football Federation for their trust in me; and most importantly, our fans for their unique passion and the support they gave us all around the world. Together we experienced unforgettable moments, achieved historic successes, overcame difficulties, and wrote a special story in the history of this country.
I will always carry all these memories and the warmth that the Turkish people made me feel in my heart. Football is not just about results and trophies. In my opinion, how a coach is remembered when leaving a country is as important as the successes he achieves on the field. Thanks to those unforgettable emotions we experienced together with my players and my technical team, I hope the Turkish people will remember me with love and respect. Thank you, Türkiye. You will always have a very special place in my heart."
