An investigation has been launched regarding individuals who took images during the hearing of the 'corruption' case against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB).
An investigation has been initiated against individuals who were identified as having recorded images without authorization and shared these images on social media accounts during the hearing of the "corruption" case against IBB. The Bakirkoy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that the investigation was initiated ex officio under Article 286 of the Turkish Penal Code (TCK).
A new development has occurred regarding the images taken during the hearing of the "corruption" case against IBB at the Marmara Penitentiary Institutions Campus. The Bakirkoy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office determined that images taken during today's hearing of the file numbered 2026/208 of the Istanbul 33rd Heavy Penal Court were shared on social media accounts.
INVESTIGATION INTO THOSE WHO RECORDED AND SHARED IMAGES
The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office reported that an ex officio investigation has been initiated under Article 286 of the TCK against individuals who recorded audio or images without authorization during prosecution proceedings and shared them on social media accounts.
STATEMENT FROM THE CHIEF PUBLIC PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE
The statement from the Bakirkoy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office used the following expressions:
"An ex officio investigation has been initiated by the Bakirkoy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office under Article 286 of the TCK against individuals who recorded audio or images without authorization during prosecution proceedings and transmitted them by sharing on social media accounts."
