Another arrest in the Gülistan Doku investigation

In Tunceli, as part of the investigation concerning Gülistan Doku, among the suspects detained and referred to the courthouse, Mehmet Aca, the boss of prisoner Gökhan Ertok who operated on Gülistan's SIM card, was arrested on charges of 'unlawfully accessing or remaining in an information system' and 'destroying, concealing, or altering evidence of a crime' after being brought before the court. While extensive security measures were taken around the courthouse, Mehmet Aca was sent to prison.

12 of the 15 suspects detained in the investigation into Gülistan Doku, a second-year student of the Child Development Department at Munzur University who has been missing in Tunceli since January 5, 2020, were arrested, while judicial control measures were imposed on 3 others. In the second wave operation of the investigation conducted by the Tunceli and Erzurum Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices, 15 people were detained. In the operation carried out yesterday morning, 2 more people were detained, bringing the number of detentions to 17.

GÜLİSTAN DOKU INVESTIGATION CONTINUES

The 2 suspects, whose statement procedures at the Tunceli Provincial Gendarmerie Command were completed, were referred to the courthouse in the morning. Among the suspects, security guard F.Ö. was arrested on charges of aiding intentional killing and destroying, concealing, or altering crime evidence, while O.Y., who works in excavation, was released under judicial control. 

OWNER OF IT COMPANY ARRESTED

Handan Sonel, wife of former Tunceli Governor Tuncay Sonel, security guard Yılmaz Arslan, and Mehmet Aca, owner of ACA IT company, whose procedures at the gendarmerie were completed, were referred to the courthouse today. During the referral, police officers held back a family relative who tried to attack the suspects by shouting 'Murderer' and calmed them down.

Aca was arrested by the court on charges of 'unlawfully entering or remaining in the information system' and 'destroying, concealing, or altering crime evidence' and was sent to prison.
