"A WOMAN WAS FOUND IN THE BAG"

A civilian named Khalid Salih El Hamit, who works in agriculture in the area, stated that the region is a military zone and that he found a body in three bags. Hamit said, "There are more inside, but I couldn't reach them; I couldn't lift the stones. A woman was found in the bag. It says 'woman' on the bags. One man was also found. There are still garbage bags, but I couldn't take them out. Because I couldn't go down to pull them out."

"THERE ARE A LOT OF CORPSES, BUT I COULDN'T REACH THEM"

I also went and informed the soldiers. They came and are now dealing with the matter. If a person's name has come up, they take them at the checkpoint, and neither the dead nor the living can be reached. Seven corpses were found today. There are a lot of corpses, but I couldn't reach them. This place needs to be excavated and examined. I also have two brothers who were taken captive in 2013. I found the bodies while searching for them," he said.

A White Helmets official, who made a statement regarding the ongoing search efforts, expressed that they started working in this area after receiving a tip, saying, "A man called us and said he found a corpse in this area. He seemed to be looking for something to eat. He found and dug here. When he dug, he found a plastic bag. This plastic bag is used for flour. There is a corpse in the bag, and the name is written on it. This corpse belongs to a prisoner. The bag has the prison number, the prisoner's name, and the bag's number on it," he said.

"THIS IS A MASS GRAVE"

The official, who said, "We opened a grave and found 7 corpses," stated, "We took DNA samples from these corpses for examination. We photographed them. This is a mass grave. A cemetery has been built around it, surrounded by walls constructed by the army. This is also a military base. No one could reach here before Assad's departure. There were checkpoints and guards outside. They buried the victims here. They killed the prisoners and buried them here," he expressed.

"THEY WERE PILED ON TOP OF EACH OTHER LIKE POTATOES"

A White Helmets officer noted that excavations of mass graves were carried out in a row 20 meters long, stating, "In each row, there are one-meter bags. These excavation areas are filled with corpses. There was also a mass grave near the Sednaya region. It was the same, but there were no walls or structures around it like this. They were piled on top of each other like potatoes there," he said.
