Ahmet Telli, one of the master poets of Turkish literature, was bid farewell on his final journey in Ankara, and a notable incident occurred during the funeral ceremony. The funeral wreath sent by Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who assumed the CHP General Chairmanship through an annulment decision, was not allowed into the ceremony area and was taken back by the florist. However, the wreath sent by Özgür Özel was accepted into the ceremony area.
A funeral ceremony is being held today in Ankara for Ahmet Telli, one of the leading figures of socialist realism in Turkish poetry.
The master poet's body will be laid to rest at Karşıyaka Cemetery following the funeral prayer to be performed in the afternoon.

A notable development occurred during the funeral. The funeral wreath sent by Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who assumed the chairmanship of the CHP under an absolute nullity ruling, was not accepted at the ceremony site. The rejected wreath was taken back by the florist.

HE LEFT A MARK ON TURKISH LITERATURE
Ahmet Telli, born on December 2, 1946, in the Eskipazar district of Çankırı, worked as a village teacher for a while after his education in teacher training schools. Later completing Gazi Education Institute, Telli served as a Turkish and literature teacher for many years in Kastamonu, İnebolu, Doğanyurt, Kırıkkale, and Ankara.
Weaving themes of sorrow, love, resistance, and rebellion into his poems, Telli became one of the important representatives of socialist realist literature and contributed numerous works to Turkish poetry.
