If you take him, he would think it's a flowerpot." In the video he shared, he sent his regards by saying, "May my dear İlber's ears ring." After diving, the comedian, who captured the historical amphorae underwater, stated, "I touched 2000-year-old historical artifacts."
Frequently emphasizing the historical riches of Çanakkale, Ata Demirer once again drew attention to cultural heritage with his humor.
WHY ARE AMPHORAE FOUND UNDERWATER?
Amphorae, which were used in ancient times for transporting wine, olive oil, grain, and various liquid products, are large vessels typically made of ceramic, with two handles and a narrow neck. These vessels were commonly used for storing goods transported on trade ships. Due to shipwrecks throughout history, a large portion of these vessels have survived to the present day, preserved on the seabed. Particularly in regions located along historical trade routes such as the Aegean and Mediterranean, numerous amphorae are uncovered during underwater explorations.
