An important warning has been issued for drivers who will use the Anadolu Highway. Due to repair works to be carried out between the Dörtdivan and Yeniçağa junctions in Bolu, the road section in the direction of Istanbul will be closed to traffic for 5 days starting from November 9. Transportation will be provided bidirectionally and under control from the opposite direction.
The Bolu Governor's Office announced that traffic arrangements will be made due to superstructure repair work to be carried out on the Anatolian Highway. It was reported that the closure to be implemented in the Istanbul direction between Dörtdivan Junction and Yeniçağa Junction will begin on Monday, November 9.
ISTANBUL DIRECTION TO BE CLOSED TO TRAFFIC FOR 5 DAYS
According to the statement made by the Governor's Office, superstructure repair work will be carried out on the Anatolian Highway between Dörtdivan Junction and Yeniçağa Junction, between kilometers 2+900 and 0+900 in the O-4/29 section. Within this scope, the relevant road section in the Istanbul direction will be closed to vehicle traffic from 08.00 on Monday, November 9, 2026, until 17.00 on Friday, November 13, 2026.
TRAFFIC TO BE PROVIDED FROM THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION
Transportation will not be completely interrupted during the works. Vehicles heading in the Istanbul direction will be directed to the road section in the Ankara direction, and traffic flow will continue in both directions and in a controlled manner. Within the scope of the arrangement, 2 lanes will be allocated for vehicles going in the Istanbul direction and 2 lanes for vehicles going in the Ankara direction.
IMPORTANT WARNING TO DRIVERS
The Bolu Governor's Office asked drivers who will use the route where the work will be carried out to comply with traffic signs and the directions of officials. It was emphasized that drivers must especially travel carefully and in a controlled manner in the two-way traffic arrangement to be provided from the opposite direction.
