Former president Aziz Yıldırım has decided to run for presidency ahead of Fenerbahçe's extraordinary elective general assembly to be held on June 6-7, and it was stated that he will make an official announcement on Thursday.
Ahead of the extraordinary general assembly with elections to be held on June 6-7 at Fenerbahçe, it was eagerly awaited whether former Fenerbahçe president Aziz Yıldırım would become a candidate.
AZIZ YILDIRIM IS RUNNING
Former president Aziz Yıldırım has decided to run for presidency in the extraordinary general assembly with elections to be held on June 6-7. It was stated that Yıldırım will officially announce his candidacy with a formal statement on Thursday.
WHAT DID HE SAY BEFORE?
In a previous statement regarding the election, Aziz Yıldırım said: "Let everything become clear. Let's see who is a candidate and who is not. Let everything settle down, I will make a statement. I don't necessarily have a desire to be president, but if we can contribute to Fenerbahçe and if there is a formation that can prevent children from crying together, then we will consider it. I haven't spoken to anyone; it is said in the public that I have spoken to some names who will be presidential candidates, but I haven't spoken to anyone. I will make a new statement in the coming days."
MEHMET ALI AYDINLAR IS NOT RUNNING
Former Fenerbahçe executive Mehmet Ali Aydınlar announced that he will not be a presidential candidate in the club's extraordinary general assembly with elections. In his statement, Aydınlar said, "In order not to allow Fenerbahçe's future to be overshadowed by debates arising over my person, I will not be a candidate in the upcoming extraordinary general assembly with elections."
WHO ARE THE CURRENT CANDIDATES?
So far, the individuals who have declared their candidacy for the presidency ahead of the extraordinary general assembly with elections to be held on June 6-7 at Fenerbahçe are former executives Barış Göktürk and Hakan Safi.
