Information on the matter was provided in a report by the official Bahrain News Agency (BNA). The report stated that the citizenship of 69 individuals was revoked on the grounds of "engaging in harmful activities against the state and expressing sympathy or support for Iran's hostile actions," and noted that the decision was made due to "actions that harm national interests or violate the obligation of loyalty to the state."
Authorities claimed that these individuals "cooperated with externally linked structures or engaged in activities threatening national security," adding that the citizenship revocation covers 69 people, including family members among them.
