Bilal Erdogan's comment on Fenerbahçe: These must be eliminated

Bilal Erdogan, President of the World Ethnosport Confederation, responded to a question about Fenerbahce. Speaking about the negative trend in the yellow-navy community, Bilal Erdogan said, "The factors affecting the morale of the players need to be somewhat eliminated. The fans are tense at Fenerbahce, the management is tense, the players are tense. We are affected by this. There needs to be peace in the club."

Necmeddin Bilal Erdogan, President of the World Ethnosports Confederation, was a guest on the Sports Desk program held at Anadolu Agency's (AA) International News Center in Istanbul ahead of the 8th Ethnosports Culture Festival, which will take place in Istanbul on May 21-24.

''WE ARE AFFECTED BY THIS''

Responding to a question about Fenerbahce's poor run of form, Erdogan said, "Look at Fenerbahce's situation, we are collecting many points, moving up to second place, and losing the championship by a narrow margin. In the end, a player can lose the championship due to morale in a single match. Factors affecting a player's morale need to be somewhat eliminated. The fans are tense at Fenerbahce, the management is tense, the players are tense. We are affected by this. There needs to be peace in the club."

Bilal Erdogan: If They Can Sort Out Their Own House...

''IF THEY CAN SORT OUT THEIR OWN HOUSE...''

Continuing to speak about Fenerbahce, the club he supports, not winning the league championship in football since 2014, Bilal Erdogan said, "Squads are set up, good coaches are brought in, good points are collected. The difference there is this: in our archery, many competitions come down to the last arrow. The one closer to the center on that last arrow wins. Consider the difference that single arrow makes. Both athletes are perhaps equally good. But at that moment, the athlete who is a bit cooler-headed wins that match, gets the medal. The difference between having a medal and not having one comes down to a single moment. In football too, morale, motivation, and external factors are very important. So, there needs to be peace in the club and people need to believe. For example, a player makes a bad pass, and the stands start booing. Is it possible for any player to play without mistakes? But by booing that player, you finished him off. Not just in that match, but this may have led to losing that player for several more matches. Therefore, with its fans, administrators, media... I think we should not withhold from our young kids and heroes the motivational support that makes them feel, 'My nation is behind me, my fans are behind me, my administrators are behind me.' If Fenerbahce can somewhat sort out its own house and maintain a strong ecosystem that supports its players and technical staff, then success will come, God willing."
