Microsoft founder Bill Gates, who testified as part of the Jeffrey Epstein case, stated that he never visited Epstein's island or homes, was not involved in his illegal activities, and did not victimize anyone. Gates said he met Epstein in 2011 and described meeting with him as a huge mistake, while alleging that Epstein later tried to pressure him using some information about his past.

Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft and one of the world's most recognized business figures, voluntarily testified before the House Oversight Committee as part of an investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, who was accused of running a sexual abuse network targeting underage girls and was found dead in prison in 2019.

Speaking at the beginning of the closed session, Gates said he never witnessed any of Epstein's criminal activities.

"I NEVER VISITED HIS ISLAND OR HOMES"

Stating that he kept his distance from Epstein, Gates also responded to frequently alleged relationship claims in the public. Gates said, "I never visited his island, ranch, or home in Florida. I never victimized anyone. Epstein tried to establish a personal relationship with me, but I had no such interest and never responded to his efforts."

"I SHOULD NEVER HAVE MET HIM FROM THE START"

Describing that he first met Jeffrey Epstein in 2011, Gates said Epstein claimed he could provide billions of dollars in resources for global health projects. Gates noted that he knew Epstein had past legal issues but did not fully grasp the extent of his crimes, adding, "He tried to use our meetings for his own benefit. I should never have met with him from the start. That was a big mistake."

"HE TRIED TO PRESSURE ME"

Gates stated that he later tried to distance himself from Epstein, but Epstein pressured him to re-establish contact using some information about his past.

The billionaire businessman said, "Epstein, along with many lies he made up, tried to pressure me using information about my past infidelities."

MESSAGE OF SUPPORT FOR VICTIMS

Gates expressed that he hopes his testimony to the House Oversight Committee will contribute to the victims' pursuit of justice, saying, "I hope the victims of Epstein's crimes receive the justice they deserve."

MENTIONED IN EPSTEIN FILES

U.S. financier Jeffrey Epstein was prosecuted for allegedly running a sexual abuse network targeting underage girls between 2002 and 2005. Epstein was found dead in prison in 2019, and authorities ruled his death a suicide.

Millions of pages of Epstein documents released to the public by the U.S. Department of Justice included Bill Gates' name and some photos taken with Epstein. Gates has previously stated in statements that he was unaware of Epstein's illegal activities and did not engage in any wrongdoing.
