In the Izmit district of Kocaeli, a man who shot his ex-wife's new husband with a pistol in the middle of the street then fired the same weapon at his own head. The man who was shot died at the scene, while the attacker was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
OPENED FIRE IN FRONT OF THE APARTMENT BUILDING
The incident occurred around 12:00 in front of a 3-story apartment building on Hacı Osman Street in İzmit Yenişehir Neighborhood. According to the information obtained, R.A. encountered M.K., whom his ex-wife had married. R.A. fired at M.K. with the pistol he pulled from his waist, bringing the man down in a pool of blood. M.K., seriously wounded, collapsed at the apartment entrance.

The enraged attacker, after the armed assault, quickly entered the building and fled to the upper floors. There, R.A. pointed the gun at his own head and fired this time.

The suspect R.A., found seriously wounded inside the apartment building, was taken to the hospital by ambulance after initial treatment and admitted to intensive care.
