Body Recovered At Site Of Turkish Construction Accident

Rescuers have pulled the body of a construction worker from under collapsed scaffolding in western Turkey on Tuesday.



Three other workers from the highway site near Izmir are still missing, according to the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority.



The men were standing on the scaffolding when it collapsed under the weight of fresh concrete during the construction of a highway bridge linking Izmir to Menemen on Tuesday afternoon.



The body was recovered after a three-hour search and transferred to Menemen State Hospital. - Ankara
