Sivas, which has no coastline, is experiencing an abundance of bonito. While bonito brought fresh from Ordu every day sells for 100 TL each, fishermen taking orders via social media send fish in styrofoam boxes by bus to provinces such as Eskişehir, Denizli, Hatay, and Mersin.
Sivas has also gotten its share of the bonito abundance in the seas. Bonito shipments are being made from Sivas, which has no coastline, to provinces in the Mediterranean and Aegean regions.
SOLD AT 100 LIRAS EACH
In Sivas, which has no coastline, there is activity in fish markets that is no less lively than in Black Sea provinces. Surplus bonito coming to Sivas from Black Sea provinces is dispatched to provinces in the Mediterranean and Aegean regions. Online orders are packaged and delivered to fish lovers via buses.

ORDERS POUR IN FROM COASTAL CITIES
Fisherman Fethi Şahin Bingöl, stating that they also receive orders via social media, said they receive orders from cities that are coastal or near the sea, such as Eskişehir, Denizli, Hatay, and Mersin. Emphasizing that they will send cargo to these regions by bus in styrofoam boxes, Bingöl said that Sivas, which has no sea, sends bonito to cities that have a sea.
RECORD ABUNDANCE OF THE LAST 10 YEARS
Stating that the record abundance of the last 10 years is being experienced in bonito, Bingöl said: "There is great abundance in our seas this year. The largest bonito harvest of the last 10 years has been reached in our country. Bonito is currently being caught in every region of the Black Sea. This inevitably reflects on prices. Citizens are consuming very high-quality bonito this year. For now, we continue to sell bonito intensively. It doesn't stop; bonito is coming in great abundance. We constantly post on our social media account. We bring a truckload of fresh fish every day to Sivas, which has no sea. There are people calling from Eskişehir, Denizli, Hatay, İskenderun, and Mersin. They contact us and order fish. There are people calling us from many regions of Turkey right now. Right now we are handling fish by truck; we will send the fish in styrofoam boxes. Our trucks are constantly working; fish comes to Sivas and goes from Sivas to other cities. We will send fish from Sivas, which has no sea, to regions that have a sea, especially around the Mediterranean."
