In an operation targeting an address in Başakşehir, 7 kilograms 765 grams of skunk, an unlicensed handgun, and an AK-47 rifle were seized. Two suspects were detained in connection with the incident.
According to a statement made by the Istanbul Police Department, teams from the Bahçelievler District Police Department determined that drugs were being sold at an address in Başakşehir Kayabaşı Neighborhood as part of efforts to prevent drug trafficking.
BOTH SUSPECTS ARE 19 YEARS OLD
After field work and intelligence analyses conducted on October 14, teams that placed the address under surveillance stopped B.U.A. (19) and E.A. (19), who were leaving the building and were reported to be acting suspiciously. During checks on the suspects, 145 grams of skunk, one unlicensed handgun, and 6 cartridges were seized.

In the search carried out at the address the suspects had left, 7 kilograms 620 grams of skunk, one AK-47 rifle, 6 cartridges, a packaging machine, and a precision scale were found. It was learned that the 2 captured suspects will be referred to the courthouse after police procedures within the scope of drug trafficking and violations of Law No. 6136.
