Bülent Uygun gave advice to Kerem Aktürkoğlu after Fenerbahçe’s 2-2 draw with Slavia Prague. Addressing the national team player with “First, find yourself a psychologist,” Uygun suggested he examine his mistakes and his successful performances in the past.
Technical director and football commentator Bülent Uygun evaluated on Tivibu the match in which Fenerbahçe drew 2-2 with Slavia Prague at home in the Champions League. Speaking about Kerem Aktürkoğlu, who was criticized for his performance and faced whistled protests from the fans, Uygun made a series of suggestions to the national player.
“FIRST, FIND YOURSELF A PSYCHOLOGIST”
Stating that he was one of those who supported Kerem, Uygun said, “Kerem, my brother, let me give you some advice. I am one of those who support you the most. First, find yourself a psychologist, and find one of those who have come from within football.” Uygun also suggested that the national player speak with experienced figures and said, “Go sit and have a heart-to-heart with one of your old older brothers. Say, ‘Brother, what do I need to do?’”
HE SUGGESTED WATCHING HIS MISTAKES AND SUCCESSFUL MOMENTS
Saying that Kerem needed to analyze his game, Uygun asked for his ball losses to be examined. Also stating that the national player should not focus only on his mistakes, Uygun advised him to rewatch the successful things he had done in the past. Uygun said, “Also say, ‘Take out the good things I used to do.’ Watch those things—‘What did I do that pleased people’s eyes?’”
“STUDY WHAT YOU NEED TO DO”
Emphasizing that Kerem needed to reflect these assessments on the pitch, Uygun concluded his words as follows: “As Kerem Aktürkoğlu, study what you need to do and start applying that dimension of this business to yourself.”
