The forest fire in Bursa continues on its second day. Due to the wind intensifying the fire once again, many neighborhoods have been evacuated. Three people lost their lives when a water tanker that was responding to the fire rolled off a cliff. A total of 3,515 people have been evacuated due to the fire.

Due to the fire spreading with the wind, the rural neighborhoods of Dutluca, Ilıcaksu, Çamoğlu, and Çakmak in the Harmancık district are being evacuated. Teams are also taking precautions to prevent the fire from reaching the residential area in Yakuplar Neighborhood of Orhaneli district.
The Orhaneli-Harmancık highway has been temporarily closed to traffic due to the fire. Efforts are being made to stop the progress of the fire with aerial and ground interventions.
"3515 PEOPLE EVACUATED IN BURSA"
While the intervention to the fire continues; Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı addressed the cameras, providing information about both the fire in Bursa and other fires in the country. Minister Yumaklı stated that the fires that broke out today have been brought under control, saying, "We are going through risky days. This is not something that can pass in two or three days. We are on alert until October. There are 4 fires ongoing in 3 of our provinces."
Minister Yumaklı stated that the intervention to the fires that continued throughout the night would persist, announcing that 3515 people had been evacuated in Bursa due to the fires. He also reported that teams were fighting against 44 fires today.
ANOTHER SAD NEWS FROM THE FIRE AREA: 3 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES
On the other hand, another sad news came from the fire area. A water tanker that was on its way to intervene in the village of Ağlaşan, threatened by the flames, lost control and was dragged down a cliff in the rugged terrain. In the accident, 1 person lost their life while 2 others were seriously injured.
Upon notification, health, gendarmerie, and search and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured, who were taken out from where they were, were transported to the hospital but unfortunately could not be saved despite all interventions.
A FIREFIGHTER ALSO LOST HIS LIFE
Firefighters on leave were also called back to duty to intervene in the fire that broke out in Bursa. The fire broke out during an event attended by firefighter Ramazan Şaşkın, who had been on sick leave for about 20 days due to a broken leg.
While the firefighters on leave were heading to the duty area, their colleagues wanted to drop Ramazan Şaşkın off at his home. While getting into the official vehicle, firefighter Şaşkın suddenly fell ill. He was taken to Büyükorhan State Hospital by his colleagues. After the initial intervention, he was transferred to Yüksek İhtisas Training and Research Hospital and was treated in the intensive care unit, but unfortunately, he lost his life despite all the efforts of the doctors.
THEY MOBILIZED FOR ANIMALS
While aerial and ground intervention efforts continue for the forest fire in Ağlaşan Neighborhood of Kestel district, citizens coming from surrounding neighborhoods also mobilized to save the animals trapped among the flames.
A citizen trying to cool a turtle he rescued from the fire by pouring water on it said, "I rescued it from the fire, I am giving it water right now. It seems to have been burned due to the heat. I will take it to the village, we have to take care of it until the fire is over, after all, it is a living being. We will do our best. We are saving as many as we can."
