Within the scope of the investigation launched against the Çankaya Municipality, 24 suspects, including Mayor Hüseyin Can Güner, were arrested. 6 suspects were released under judicial supervision.
A decision was made regarding 30 suspects, including Çankaya Mayor Hüseyin Can Güner, who were referred to the courthouse as part of the investigation into Çankaya Municipality.
24 INDIVIDUALS, INCLUDING THE MAYOR, ARRESTED It was decided to arrest 24 of the suspects, including Çankaya Mayor Hüseyin Can Güner, who were referred to the Duty Criminal Court of Peace. The remaining 6 suspects were released with a travel ban and judicial control conditions.
WHAT HAPPENED? Under the coordination of the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, as part of the investigation conducted by the Provincial Police Department's Financial Crimes Branch, search and seizure operations were carried out at the addresses of suspects against whom detention orders were issued for the crimes of "establishing a criminal organization," "being a member of a criminal organization," "accepting bribes," "giving bribes," and "rigging tenders." Accordingly, 30 suspects were taken into custody.
Hüseyin Can Güner Çankaya Mayor Hüseyin Can Güner, among the 30 suspects detained in the investigation, was referred to the Ankara Courthouse after the completion of police procedures. The suspects, who gave statements to the public prosecutor at the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, were then referred to the Duty Criminal Court of Peace with a request for arrest.
