Cansever, one of the unforgettable names of Arabesque music, passed away at the age of 59 in Germany, where she was receiving treatment for leukemia. The artist, who died due to severe infections following a bone marrow transplant, was buried in the family cemetery after a ceremony held in North Macedonia in accordance with her will.

HER TREATMENT WAS CONTINUING IN GERMANY
Cansever, known for songs such as "Ağla Gözbebeğim", "Sen de Gittin" and "Kime Bu İnat", had been struggling with health problems for some time.
The artist, whose real name was Dzansever Dalipova, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in late 2025. After a suitable donor was found, a stem cell transplant was performed on Cansever, who was in Germany for treatment, in March 2026.
However, serious problems arose in the artist's health after the transplant. Cansever, who was taken to intensive care due to severe infections and other complications that developed, died on August 8 despite all interventions.
SHE WAS BURIED IN THE FAMILY GRAVEYARD PER HER WILL
Cansever's body was taken to North Macedonia after the procedures in Germany were completed.
A funeral ceremony was held for the artist at the historic Fazlı Ahmet Pasha Mosque in the city of Veles. Her family, relatives, and loved ones did not leave Cansever alone on her final journey at the funeral prayer held after the noon prayer.
After the ceremony, her remains were buried in the family graveyard, as the artist had previously willed.
SHE FOUGHT HEALTH PROBLEMS SINCE CHILDHOOD
Cansever's health struggles in her life were not limited to leukemia. The artist lost an eye as a result of an accident when she was just 12 years old.
Cansever, who also struggled with ankylosing spondylitis for years, continued her music career despite the physical difficulties she experienced.
SHE BECAME KNOWN IN TURKEY WITH "KARA ÇADIR"
Cansever became known to large audiences in Turkey, especially with the folk song "Kara Çadır" she performed on the İbo Show program.
The artist, who left her mark in arabesque and folk music with her unique interpretation and strong voice, also performed works such as "Cemalim", "Yollar Hasta Ben Yorgunum" and "Kader" throughout her career.
After a music career spanning many years, Cansever was sent off on her final journey in North Macedonia with a ceremony attended by her family and loved ones.
