NEW STADIUM WITH 17,500 CAPACITY

The Kahramanmaraş Stadium, under construction in the İstasyon neighborhood of Dulkadiroğlu district, will serve as a multi-purpose facility capable of hosting both sports competitions and various events upon completion. Built on an area of 105,000 square meters, the project will include units of the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, spectator foyers and service units, athlete foyers, locker rooms, 2 warm-up halls, 3 training halls, workplaces, and prayer rooms.

''EXPECTED TO OPEN IN THE 2027-2028 SEASON''

TOKİ Construction Expert Taha Selvi told AA correspondent that work on the stadium construction continues according to the planned schedule. Stating that the construction is at 35 percent completion, Selvi said, "Manufacturing continues at the 17,500-capacity Kahramanmaraş Stadium. According to our plans, our stadium is expected to open in the 2027-2028 season."

''IT WILL BE A HIGHLY FAVORED AREA OF THE CITY''

Selvi, stating that precast concrete production continues and steel roof manufacturing and facade work have begun, noted that the project is not just a stadium. "Within the scope of the project, there are social reinforcement areas. In the future, sports complexes will also be located around it. The stadium will include training fields and the building of the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports. The stadium rises on 2,233 bored piles, each 19 meters long. After establishing a solid foundation, we started our manufacturing. In a city that has experienced an earthquake, we give due importance to manufacturing quality to prevent the same pains from recurring. When completed, it will become an area with equipped sports complexes. It will be a highly favored area of the city."
