HEAD-ON COLLISION
The accident occurred on the Mut-Silifke highway within the borders of Karadiken neighborhood. According to the information obtained, the car with license plate 70 ACP 659, driven by Adem Korkmaz (50), veered out of its lane and collided head-on with a truck with foreign license plate VV 814, driven by Y.U. In the accident, the car driver was seriously injured, while mother Emine (52) and her 22-year-old daughter Sümeyye Korkmaz died at the scene. Upon notification by witnesses, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured driver was taken to the district state hospital by ambulance.
TRUCK DRIVER ESCAPED UNINJURED
After the prosecutor's inspection at the scene, the bodies of the mother and daughter were taken to the morgue. The investigation into the accident, in which the truck driver escaped uninjured, continues.
