Taken into custody and referred to judicial authorities, the suspect was sentenced to 16 months in prison by the court that tried him.

HAD GONE TO ENGLAND 2 MONTHS EARLIER

B.K.Y., who was reportedly had gone to England two months earlier, targeted a 14-year-old girl in the town of Prestwich. Residents who noticed the situation intervened immediately, preventing him from escaping.

According to reports in the country's press, the moments when the suspect, who was targeted by the angry crowd and beaten at the scene, was caught were captured on a mobile phone camera.

In the footage, residents can be seen approaching him, saying, "You came here to harm a child, tomorrow you'll be in jail, not in Turkey." 

Panicking in the face of the harsh reactions, Yılmaz was recorded trying to defend himself and crying, begging, saying in Turkish and broken English, "What did I do, I'm retarded," "I am stupid".
