Izmir Deputy Salih Uzun and Istanbul Deputy Cemal Enginyurt, who resigned from the Democratic Party, have joined the CHP. Salih Uzun announced the news during a live broadcast he participated in.
In the general elections, the new addresses of Istanbul Deputy Cemal Enginyurt, who entered the Parliament from the CHP lists and later resigned from the Democratic Party, and Izmir Deputy Salih Uzun have been revealed. As has been discussed for a while, both names have joined the CHP.
CEMAL ENGİNYURT AND SALİH UZUN HAVE JOINED THE CHP
Salih Uzun, who participated in the live broadcast of Halk TV, announced that they joined the CHP together with Cemal Enginyurt. Uzun stated, "We were already elected as deputies from the CHP lists. We had two options ahead of us. We could have continued as independents. If we were to join a party, we thought that the CHP, from which we were elected, was the most correct option. But the main point is that a wave of illegality is coming towards us. We are faced with attempts to divide and fragment the opposition. We needed to develop a stance against this," he said.
THEY WILL ATTEND THE GROUP MEETING ON TUESDAY
Uzun also mentioned that they will attend the group meeting of the CHP, which will be held on Tuesday. CHP Chairman Özgür Özel will present the badges to Uzun and Enginyurt.
