Chilling details have emerged regarding the murder of Kübra Yapıcı, whose charred body was found in a forested area in Burdur. It was learned that the suspects burned Yapıcı's body with gasoline, and then used a sledgehammer to break apart the parts that did not burn.
In Burdur, regarding the female body found burned in a forested area, it was reported that the suspects first poured gasoline three times on the woman's body along with a carpet to burn it, and then used a sledgehammer to break apart the unburned parts of the body.
LAST SEEN AT A CAFE WITH TWO MEN
The frightening process began when Kübra Yapıcı, who lived in Antalya, could not be reached after 02:00 on the night of April 30. Her father, Yunus Yapıcı, concerned for her life, applied to the Serik Chief Public Prosecutor's Office the same day. The immediate initiation of efforts once again demonstrated that unsolved cases in Turkey are pursued with determination. Initial investigations clearly showed from security cameras that the young woman was at a cafe in Kepez with two men around 03:30 and left the venue with them at 04:45.
CONTRADICTORY STATEMENTS DREW ATTENTION
As the investigation deepened, traces of two individuals using the names İlyas Umut D. and Ataberk S. were found. However, their statements changed the course of the incident. İlyas Umut D. claimed he left Kübra in front of a market. But a field investigation revealed that the market was closed at that time. This contradiction further strengthened suspicions. At this point, father Yunus Yapıcı, through his personal investigations, uncovered the real identities of the suspects and shared this information with the prosecutor's office.
THEY FIRST BURIED THE BODY IN THE GROUND
New details about the incident emerged in the investigation conducted by the Bucak Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. It was learned that the two suspects first came to the village with Kübra Yapıcı and then killed her by shooting her in the forested area. The individuals first buried Yapıcı's body in the ground and then set off to go to Istanbul. Returning from Istanbul with a rug they found, the suspects bought gasoline from a gas station to burn the body, came to the area, removed Yapıcı's body from the ground, and wrapped it in the rug.
FIRST BURNED, THEN BROKEN APART WITH A SLEDGEHAMMER
Later, the suspects placed the body wrapped in the rug into a barrel and tried to burn it with gasoline. After pouring gasoline three times, they used a sledgehammer they had brought to break apart the unburned parts of the body and threw them into a pond in the area.
CONFESSED IN HIS STATEMENT
Following the missing person report by father Yunus Yapıcı, teams began working and clearly determined from security cameras that the young woman was at a cafe in Kepez with two men around 03:30 and left the venue with them at 04:45. Based on the evidence obtained, the captured İlyas Umut D.'s statement revealed the brutality that occurred. After İlyas Umut D.'s confession, the other suspect in the incident, Ataberk S., was taken into custody by the teams. It was learned that the statements of the individuals are ongoing, and after the procedures are completed, they will be referred with a request for arrest.
