The Uruguay National Team announced its squad for the 2026 World Cup. While Lucas Torreira from Galatasaray is not included in the squad, Fernando Muslera, who plays for Estudiantes, will participate in the World Cup for the fifth time.

MUSLERA IN SQUAD, TORREIRA OUT
According to the statement from the Uruguayan Football Federation, Lucas Torreira from Galatasaray is not included in the squad, while the 39-year-old former Galatasaray goalkeeper Fernando Muslera is part of Uruguay's roster, which includes the following names:
