CHP Aydın Deputy Süleyman Bülbül responded to the question about what the name of the new party allegedly to be founded by Özgür Özel would be, saying, "It will not be 'March'." Stating that alternative plans would be activated if the extraordinary congress is not held, Bülbül announced that they would apply to the civil court on Monday, June 29 to request a convening committee.
With the court's decision of "absolute nullity," debates over an extraordinary congress and a new party continue in the CHP, where Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's administration came to power. Speaking on Halk TV's live broadcast, CHP Aydın Deputy Süleyman Bülbül stated that different scenarios are on the table if the congress is not held.
"WE WILL OPEN A NEW PATH"
Süleyman Bülbül, stating that they cannot risk the CHP's right to enter elections if no decision is made regarding the extraordinary congress, said, "If we cannot hold our congress by skipping two congresses before July 26, 2026, if no decision is made on the congress issue, then the CHP will not be able to enter the elections. Since we cannot take this risk, and since we cannot leave the election entry status of a party like the CHP to the mercy of the palace's judiciary, we will open a new path and find a new way if there is no congress before July 26."
"WE WILL IMPLEMENT PLANS B, C, D"
Bülbül also made assessments regarding new party claims, stating that alternative plans are being evaluated through parties that have the eligibility to enter elections in the event of an early election.
"Since the new party issue would also pose a risk in an early general election, we will implement plans B, C, D regarding parties that have already obtained eligibility to enter elections," he said.
"IT WON'T BE 'YÜRÜYÜŞ'"
Bülbül also touched on claims that the name of the new party to be established would be "Yürüyüş" (March), saying, "It won't be 'Yürüyüş'."
Bülbül further stated that they will comply with the decisions made by the elected chairman and headquarters, and argued that the current administration is delaying the congress process.
APPLICATION TO COURT ON MONDAY
Referring to Article 48 of the CHP By-Laws, Süleyman Bülbül said that the congress must be held within 45 days from the delivery of the collected signatures for the extraordinary congress.
Bülbül stated that they will apply to the civil court on Monday, June 29, saying, "We will request a call committee. This call committee will request the signatures from the headquarters and make a decision regarding the congress."
