Famous actress Pelin Karahan confessed that she had a panic attack after the burial scene shot in the iconic series "Kavak Yelleri" and started therapy the day after that scene was filmed.
The series "Kavak Yelleri," which aired between 2007 and 2011 and left a mark on its era, brought great fame to its cast. Pelin Karahan, who portrayed the character "Aslı" in the series, made a striking statement years later.
"THE SCENE WHERE I WAS BURIED ALIVE" CAUSED TRAUMA
Karahan, who appeared on the YouTube program "Masa Alakart," described how a scene from the series left a lasting impact on her. The famous actress said she began experiencing panic attacks after the scene where she was buried alive.
"I COULDN'T EVEN LIFT MY FINGER"
Karahan expressed her difficult moments with these words: "There was a scene where I was buried alive. They threw wet soil on me, and the director said, 'Hold your breath.' I couldn't even lift my finger under the weight of the soil. The next day, I started therapy."
"MY PSYCHOLOGY WAS DISRUPTED"
Stating that the series had intense dramatic scenes, Karahan noted that this process negatively affected her psychology, saying, "There were already many dramatic scenes in the series. My psychology had also deteriorated."
THE 12-YEAR MARRIAGE ENDED
Meanwhile, Pelin Karahan parted ways with her husband of 12 years, Bedri Güntay, last week. The couple, who have two children, announced in a joint statement that they ended their marriage by mutual agreement.
