A surprising comment came from Tolga Karel regarding the investigation into manager monopolization initiated by the Competition Authority.

Having left the industry at the peak of his career, Tolga Karel had hastily settled in the USA. According to a report by Sabah, Tolga Karel spoke about Ayşe Barım and the monopolization in the industry.

Here are the highlights from Tolga Karel's statements:

The reason I left the industry and wanted to distance myself is my love, affection, and loyalty to our esteemed President.

"ONE GROUP IS FETÖ, THE OTHER IS AYŞE BARIM"

The Ayşe Barım incident should be understood like this: the year is 2015, before the July 15 coup attempt, there were two structures in the industry, two groups with opposing thoughts. One of them was the FETÖ members, and the other side was Ayşe Barım and her community, supported by foreign capital.

In 2015, we made a film called Code Name Koz. Those who made and acted in this film put their hearts and souls into it out of love for our President. It was a film that revealed all the vulnerabilities of the Fetullahist organization that had infiltrated the state.

"WE KNEW OUR CAREERS WOULD END"

After this film was released, we knew our careers would end. We knew we had to distance ourselves from the industry. Acting in this film felt like shooting ourselves in the head, it was like a form of suicide. I wanted to be part of this because on one side the state was being lost. On the other hand, our President was being isolated. Out of my love for him, I wanted to be in this film even knowing my career would end. I claim that; after this film, the coup attempt was brought forward. They were planning it for the fall, but they had to pull it to July and execute it unprepared. I believe it was a film that played a role in the failure of the FETÖ members, and I am proud of myself.

"A DELAYED OPERATION"

As I mentioned at the beginning, there were two sides in the industry," Karel continued his analysis, "One was the FETÖ members, the other was Ayşe Barım. Everyone knows this; I don't understand why they don't speak out. The terrorist organization led by Fetullah Gülen was dismantled, and it collapsed in the industry as well. The field was left to the other structure. That's why I call it a delayed operation.

The Ayşe Barım side, funded from abroad, has spread. I am glad it has come to light. I am a man filled with love for my country. After this film, some returned to the industry, acting in series and films. But I did not want to return.

There will be those who say I am being sycophantic because of my words about our President. Let them find a single photo of me with our President; I would cut myself.
