Survivor 2026 contestant Lina Hourieh was a guest of presenter Melis Yaşar on Haberler.com. Stating that the competition completely changed her life, Hourieh said, "I know I wake up at night and look for food from the trash. No experience in life could have given me this." Also speaking about relationships, Hourieh stated that the person she looks up to in Survivor is Mert Nobre, using the expression, "May God grant me a spouse like Mert Nobre."
Lina Hourieh, who gained widespread recognition through Survivor 2026, shared what the competition added to her. Stating that the process involving hunger, hardship, and psychological struggle changed her character, Hourieh expressed that her experiences in Survivor were one of the biggest turning points in her life.
"I CAN'T FORGET THE DAYS I SEARCHED FOR FOOD IN THE TRASH"
Noting that Survivor taught her life's most fundamental values, Lina Hourieh described the challenges she faced in the competition with these words:
"I know I woke up at night and went looking for food in the trash and sand. What other experience in life could have taught me that? Nothing else could have shown me the value of those two or three grains of rice." Hourieh emphasized that the competition contributed greatly not only physically but also in terms of character development.
"SURVIVOR TOUCHES EVERYONE'S LIFE"
Stating that the competition is not just about fame or material gains, Hourieh expressed that Survivor is a very special experience that changes a person. Hourieh said, "I think Survivor is very valuable. I believe it touches everyone who goes there in a significant way and changes them. When you return, you look at life with a much different awareness."
"MAY ALLAH GRANT ME A SPOUSE LIKE MERT NOBRE"
Making striking statements about relationships, Lina Hourieh stated that she thinks many relationships today are unhealthy.
Saying that one of the people she most admired in Survivor was Mert Nobre, Hourieh used the words: "May Allah grant me a spouse like Mert Nobre. He was a person always talking about his wife and children, dedicated to his family. He had a stance that never looked elsewhere."
Hourieh added that she saw many married people or those in relationships displaying different attitudes in the competition, but she did not want to name names.
