Groups affiliated with the Popular Mobilization Forces stormed the Agriculture Directorate located in the Kerh district of Baghdad, where an oath-taking ceremony was held for the newly appointed director. In the clash, 2 people, including 1 police officer, lost their lives, and 12 others were injured. It was stated that the clash arose from an attempt to prevent the current director's replacement, and it was reported that both the former and the new directors were members of the Popular Mobilization Forces. Security forces have so far detained 14 people in connection with the clash.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT RELEASED

In a statement made by the Iraqi Joint Operations Command, it was noted that the identities of those responsible for the armed raid on a state office affiliated with the Ministry of Agriculture in the capital Baghdad have been identified, and it was recorded that the armed group that clashed with security forces belonged to the 45th and 46th Brigades of the Popular Mobilization Forces.

The statement emphasized that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Sudani requested a detailed investigation into the actions of this armed group, which acted without any official order or permission, attempted to seize the state building, and opened fire on security forces.
