While the claim that the kadınbudu meatballs served to students at Eskişehir Osmangazi University's cafeteria were undercooked inside and served in the form of raw minced meat has drawn public reaction, attention has turned to the statement expected from the university administration.
The allegation that raw meat was served to students at the Eskişehir Osmangazi University (ESOGÜ) student cafeteria has drawn a strong backlash, while an urgent statement from the university administration on the matter is awaited.
Photos allegedly taken at the Eskişehir Osmangazi University cafeteria and showing that the kadınbudu köfte served to students were almost completely raw have sparked a major debate. After it was seen that the outside of the served meatballs was slightly cooked but the minced meat inside remained raw, cafeteria inspections and food safety came onto the agenda.
"THEY JUST TOUCHED THE MEAT TO THE PAN AND TOOK IT OUT"
As images showing that the inside of the meatballs was not cooked spread, a group expressing its reaction made comments such as "They just touched the meat to the pan and took it out," demonstrating their reaction and calling on the administration to take action.
"THERE IS NO SUCH MEAL PLATE AT THE UNIVERSITY"
Another segment arguing that the allegations were unfounded, on the other hand, asserted with the statements "There is no such meal plate at the ESOGÜ student cafeteria" that the shared photos were a manipulation targeting the institution. An official statement from the Rectorate of Eskişehir Osmangazi University is awaited regarding the incident, which directly concerns the health of students.
