Crisis at CHP group meeting! Not included in the TBMM calendar, Özel's team made a swift application.

The weekly TBMM group meeting of CHP, which Özgür Özel announced would be held tomorrow, was not included in the official program shared by the Parliament Presidency. Amid the uncertainty, the CHP group made an official request for the meeting to be held at 13:30, while Özel said, "Our group meeting will take place as announced."

While the echoes of the judiciary's "absolute nullity" decision in CHP continue, the crisis has now spread to the corridors of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM). The fate of the weekly group meeting, which Özgür Özel announced would take place on Tuesday, has become a matter of curiosity.

NO CHP IN THE OFFICIAL SCHEDULE

A notable omission was observed in the weekly official briefing calendar shared with the public by the Parliament Presidency for Tuesdays. In the published list, while the group meetings of the DEM Party scheduled for Tuesday at 12:45 PM and the İYİ Party for Wednesday at 10:30 AM were officially included, the CHP's meeting did not find a place on the calendar. This situation has reignited debates over whether a meeting can be held following the judicial decision against the party.

CHP GROUP'S RAPID APPLICATION TO THE TBMM PRESIDENCY

Following this omission in the official calendar, the CHP front quickly took action. The CHP Parliamentary Group submitted an official application letter to the Parliament Presidency to ensure the smooth conduct of tomorrow's TBMM Group Meeting. The application emphasized that "CHP's elected Chairman and Group Chairman Özgür Özel will take the podium at 1:30 PM to address the deputies."

ÖZGÜR ÖZEL: NO NEGATIVE SITUATION HAS REACHED US

Commenting on the calendar crisis and claims that the meeting could be canceled, Özgür Özel stated that there are no legal or internal regulation obstacles. Özel summarized the process as follows:

"Our parliamentary group's internal regulations are very clear. The rules state: 'If any vacancy occurs in the Group Chairmanship, a new one is elected at the first closed group meeting held' and 'The previous one continues until the new one is elected.' I was already continuing my role as group chairman. Against possible interpretations of a vacancy, we held a proper closed meeting and were re-elected with the open support of 110 of our colleagues. This decision was sent to the Parliament Presidency and, after review, they registered the election. With the headquarters' application, they applied both procedures; they removed my chairman title from their website and entered my group chairman title. So, there is no uncertainty here. No negative situation has reached us. Our open group meeting at 1:30 PM will take place tomorrow as announced."
