The ceremony held at the Atatürk Cultural Center began with a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem. Sadık Acar, the President of the Education-Workers Union Antalya Branch, congratulated all teachers on their day in his speech during the ceremony. Acar explained that they have been awarding the "Master Teacher Award" for 16 years to individuals who have made significant contributions in the field of education, stating, "On the 96th anniversary of the granting of the title of Master Teacher, we are honored to present this award to Professor Dr. Naci Görür, a geoscientist who has instilled confidence in our people with his work aimed at preserving the values of the Republic." Professor Dr. Naci Görür also stated that he received the most meaningful award today. CRITICAL WARNING FOR ANTALYAGörür also warned about possible earthquakes in Antalya, stating, "There are four very important fault systems on which the Antalya terrain sits, and all of these systems can produce earthquakes of magnitude 7 and above. Antalya must be an earthquake-resistant city." The program was attended by retired teachers, union members, and citizens.
