Sports commentator Nihat Kahveci commented on Galatasaray’s Gençlerbirliği match and criticized the team’s performance. Drawing attention to mistakes in the game, Kahveci remarked, 'With this game, they will concede three again. Don’t be angry with me at all, Galatasaray fans. With this football, you can’t beat Lille away either, let me tell you right now. The first minute was beyond disastrous. There is a problem with Galatasaray’s rhythm.'
Sports commentator Nihat Kahveci evaluated on Kontraspor screens the match in which Galatasaray defeated Gençlerbirliği 1-0 in the 8th week of the Trendyol Süper Lig.
"THIS IS ANOTHER INDIVIDUAL MISTAKE"
Stating that Galatasaray won the match thanks to an individual mistake, Nihat Kahveci said, "Why did you remind me of the Erzurum match? That day they were saying, 'We won 4-0, what are you talking about?' This is exactly what we were talking about. That day, the goalkeeper made two assists, the defender lost the ball. They were all individual mistakes. You are always scoring from the opponent's individual mistake. Today there was nothing that forced such an individual mistake. This is another individual mistake." he said.
"THIS IS THE REAL PROBLEM"
Continuing his assessment, Kahveci said, ''In the first half, Gençlerbirliği could have scored 3 goals against Galatasaray. This is Galatasaray's real problem that is reflected in the Champions League. They win in the league, but if Lille come, they will score 4. One way or another, this game is enough in the Süper Lig; Deniz Gel comes and, one way or another, there is a goal. But in the Champions League, you cannot score that goal. Galatasaray fans have a team that closes the week as leaders, but in terms of play, Galatasaray is not the leader. In the Süper Lig, it is somehow enough for a victory, but when it comes to the Champions League stage, at that caliber this kind of cheap.'' he said.
"WITH THIS GAME, THEY WILL CONCEDE 3 TO LILLE"
Underlining the in-game mistakes of the yellow-red team, Nihat Kahveci said, ''I wish them success in advance (Champions League). With this game, they will concede 3 again. Don't get angry at me at all, Galatasaray fans. Let me tell you in advance that with today's football, you cannot beat Lille away either. The first minute is beyond a disaster. There is a problem with Galatasaray's rhythm. There is a problem with the performances offered by the star players from whom you expect a lot at Galatasaray.'' he made this assessment.
