Bonomo used the following statements in her post:

“Today we lost our father. Because of my brother’s career, this situation has entertainment value. I constantly come across news posts. If one person writes ‘May God have mercy on him’ in the comments, 30 people talk about our being Jewish.”

“DON’T WE DESERVE EMPATHY?”

Rebelling against the comments made after her family’s loss, Funda Bonomo reacted to people making their pain a subject of debate through their beliefs or identities.

Also emphasizing that she embraces Atatürk as a nationalist citizen of the Republic of Turkey, Bonomo stated that she could not accept the approach she encountered.
