TRNC President Tufan Erhürman said, "We will continue to work for a fair and permanent solution on the Island in close consultation and cooperation with Turkey."
President Erhürman spoke at the 13th Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), held at the Beştepe Nation Exhibition Hall under the theme "Turkish Century: Unity in Language, Thought and Work," hosted by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Erhürman, who said that the basis of all the TRNC's efforts is "strengthening peace, stability and cooperation" on the Island and in the region, emphasized that the integration of the Turkish Cypriot people with the world and the search for a solution in Cyprus are mutually reinforcing processes.
Erhürman, who said, "We will continue to work for a fair and lasting solution on the Island in close consultation and cooperation with Türkiye," stated that they want the Eastern Mediterranean to become a region where mutual respect, inclusive cooperation and shared prosperity prevail, not tensions and exclusionary policies.
