Serie A club Roma has submitted its official offer to Fenerbahçe for Jayden Oosterwolde, and negotiations between the clubs have begun. Meanwhile, the Dutch player has largely reached an agreement with Roma on contract terms.
The transfer market has heated up for Fenerbahçe's successful defender Jayden Oosterwolde.
ROMA HAS STARTED NEGOTIATIONS
According to TRT Spor's report; Roma, one of the Serie A teams, knocked on the yellow-navy management's door with an official offer to add the 25-year-old Dutch center-back to their squad.
AGREEMENT REACHED WITH ROMA
It was stated that Oosterwolde, who previously wore the Parma jersey and experienced Italy, is extremely warm to returning to Italy, and that a principle agreement was reached in individual meetings between the talented player and Roma club.
TRANSFER FEE EXPECTATION IS HIGH
From the new contract negotiations conducted between Fenerbahçe and Oosterwolde, a clear result has not yet been achieved due to foreign quota and squad planning reasons. However, the management, which extended the player's contract from July 2025 to 2028, holds a strong hand in the transfer. Fenerbahçe officials, who decided not to rush while evaluating incoming offers, have completely closed the door to loan options. It is stated that the club will definitely not accept amounts below 25 million euros for the star player.
AWAY FROM THE PITCHES DUE TO INJURY
The Dutch footballer, who appeared in 3 matches with the yellow-navy jersey this season, experienced a misfortune in the Sturm Graz match in the 3rd qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League. Oosterwolde, who was diagnosed with a partial tear in his hamstring tendon, is expected to remain away from the pitches for at least 2 more weeks.
