110 suspects were detained in an operation against the DEAŞ terrorist organization in three provinces centered in Istanbul.
In an operation against the ISIS terrorist organization across 3 provinces centered in Istanbul, 110 suspects were detained. During the operation, 4 rifles, 90 cartridges, numerous banned publications, organizational documents, and digital materials were seized.
SUSPECTS WERE FOUND TO BE CONDUCTING PRO-TERRORIST ORGANIZATION ACTIVITIES
In investigations conducted by the Istanbul Police Department's Anti-Terrorism Branch Directorate and Intelligence Branch Directorate, coordinated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office; it was determined that suspects identified as conducting pro-ISIS terrorist organization activities, by allegedly leading pro-ISIS individuals, organized lessons in their illegal associations, provided education to young children in line with the organization's ideology, collected money from supporter groups to provide logistical support to individuals in prisons due to their affiliations with the ISIS terrorist organization across the group, and made radical statements during organizational meetings within the group.

Additionally, it was found that the suspects conducted efforts to gain a base for the organization, and sold books/magazines to cover expenses and conduct organizational propaganda. In this context, during an operation at addresses identified across 3 provinces centered in Istanbul, 110 suspects were caught and detained. In searches of residences, 4 rifles, 90 cartridges, numerous banned publications, organizational documents, and digital materials were seized.
