PRISON SENTENCE OF 13 YEARS, 10 MONTHS AND 20 DAYS
The final hearing of the case against the defendant Ayşe S. was held at the Konya 2nd High Criminal Court. Ayşe S., who made her defense at the hearing, accepted the criminal charge. The defendant, who stated that she lost the money she embezzled by placing bets, said she used the money through her mother's mobile banking account. In her defense, Ayşe S. said, "I spent the money I took by placing bets. Because I thought it would come out one day anyway, I told my husband about the situation, and my husband reported it to the authorities. I regret what I did. I will try to compensate for the resulting loss by selling the inherited property."
The court panel, applying a good conduct reduction to the defendant, sentenced her to 13 years, 10 months and 20 days in prison.
