In his statement, Beyaz expressed that he sadly observed the strong claim and wave of hope created during the founding of İYİ Party failed to achieve the expected impact. Beyaz's statement included the following: "To the esteemed Turkish public, the İYİ Party period in my political life, where I took on all material and moral responsibilities as the Founding Istanbul Provincial President on November 1, 2017, will always remain a valuable memory for me personally, given the effort, sincerity, and determination we demonstrated.
I strived to engage in politics with an understanding that does not disrespect the past, the struggle, and the values I believe in. From now on, I will continue to engage in politics with the same respect for our beloved nation. At the point reached today, it is clear that politics in Turkey is moving along an increasingly sharp axis of polarization. In this picture, political structures seeking to balance between different political lines find their capacity to expand narrowing, and their ability to generate social response limited.
I sadly observe that the strong claim and wave of hope carried by İYİ Party at its founding have failed to produce the expected impact.
My thoughts, experiences, and lessons show that this effort, carried out with a sense of responsibility toward our nation, has been thwarted by tacit alliances of approaches lacking a will to grow. Instead of a vision that would activate the organization's dynamism, a passive continuity has been reinforced. Moreover, this stagnation, contrary to the organization's expectations, has been institutionalized with central support.
Our people see that there is a clear gap between our expectations for political breakthrough and the current approach, with priority given to maintaining the existing political understanding rather than a new vision to respond to changing social and political needs.
In the face of this picture, observing the gap between the values we represent and the current functioning widening day by day has created a deep contradiction between my political responsibility and personal conviction. This incompatibility between the principles we believe in and actual reality has made it impossible for me to continue my political activities under the roof of İYİ Party. Within this framework, I respectfully submit to the knowledge of our beloved nation and the public that I have resigned from my membership in İYİ Party."
