Didem Soydan said she does not flirt with men who have children or who have previously married and divorced. Soydan, noting that effort and lifelong commitment are more important than a signature in marriage, said, “I have my rules.”
Didem Soydan said that she does not flirt with men who have children or who have been married and divorced before. Stating that what really matters in marriage is putting effort into a person, Soydan said, “I want what I have with you to be like my grandfather’s—just once, until the grave.”
“I HAVE MY RULES”
Explaining the rules she set for herself in her relationships, Soydan stated that until now she has not flirted with anyone who has children or who has been married and divorced before. Saying she knew this preference would be criticized, the model said, “I know everyone will talk now and say, ‘Who are you to have a rule?’ But this is really my rule, I can’t do it any other way.”
Emphasizing that marriage alone is not important, Soydan used the expressions, “It’s not about getting married; putting effort into a person is an important thing.” Stating that she herself could wear a wedding dress and get married, the model said, “I also know how to wear a wedding dress and throw two weddings. But I want what I have with you to be like my grandfather’s—just once, until the grave.”
DREW ATTENTION TO THE “IN SICKNESS AND IN HEALTH” VOW
Soydan also touched on the importance of the “in sickness and in health” vow made in marriage. Evaluating some couples’ divorcing after a while, the model said, “You look, the other party hasn’t died or gotten sick, but they’ve divorced.”
Stating that such separations could stem from hasty decisions or incompatibilities, Soydan used the expressions, “So they must have done something quickly, done it without thinking, or they weren’t suitable for each other.”
