Dilan Polat, who was arrested last November for money laundering and tax evasion along with her husband, siblings, father-in-law, and relatives, started to harm herself due to difficult times in prison. After Polat injured herself, her lawyers requested her release on the grounds that it was not suitable for her to stay in prison. After the request, Polat was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute.
HEALTH CONDITION WILL BE EXAMINED
Dilan Polat, who has been in prison for a long time, had a nervous breakdown and injured herself in recent days. Learning that cuts and bruises appeared on Polat's body, her lawyers requested her release. However, the requested release for Polat was rejected. After the developments, the lawyers requested her release once again. The Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office also decided to refer Dilan Polat to the Forensic Medicine Institute. Then this decision was sent to the prison. The prosecutor's office requested a report to be prepared regarding whether Polat's detention poses a danger in terms of her health condition.
REPORT WILL BE AWAITED
Dilan Polat, who is imprisoned in Marmara Prison, was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute in Yenibosna by gendarmerie teams yesterday morning after the decision. Polat's procedures at the institution took 1.5 hours. It was revealed that she was taken from the prison to the state hospital two weeks ago and all her tests were conducted there. Forensic Medicine Institute officials will examine those tests and prepare a report. After the procedures, Dilan Polat, who was taken back to the prison, will have her situation determined according to the upcoming report.
