A fine of 8,687 lira will be applied to those who slaughter in public places such as parks, gardens, streets, roads, building fronts, and squares during Eid al-Adha, and a fine of 20,842 lira will be imposed on those who bury sacrificial waste in the ground.
Measures have been taken to prevent environmental pollution during the Eid al-Adha period at sacrificial animal sales and slaughter sites, ensuring that community and environmental health are not adversely affected by activities that may cause pollution. In line with these measures, relevant institutions will conduct inspections at the sacrificial animal sales and slaughter sites designated by municipalities throughout Eid al-Adha. In addition to inspections at sales and slaughter sites, efforts will also be made to prevent sacrificial slaughter in front of apartments, on streets, and in parks. Those who do not comply with the rules will be subject to fines.
FINANCIAL PENALTIES FOR INAPPROPRIATE CONDITIONS
An administrative fine of 8,687 lira will be imposed on those who slaughter in public places such as parks, gardens, streets, roads, building fronts, and squares that are unsuitable for sacrificial animal sales and slaughter, as well as on those who fail to take necessary precautions in appropriate slaughter areas. Facilities that do not comply with necessary prohibitions at slaughter sites and dispose of sacrificial waste by burying it in the ground without taking precautions will face an administrative fine of 839,122 lira for collective slaughter. For waste from sacrificial animals slaughtered in residential and settlement areas, those who violate the ban by burying it in the ground will be fined 20,842 lira.
FINE OF 13,333 LIRA FOR ANIMAL ABUSE
Individuals who intentionally mistreat animals, beat them, leave them hungry or thirsty, expose them to extreme cold or heat, neglect their care, or cause physical and psychological pain will be fined an administrative penalty of 13,333 lira per animal. At sales sites, those who act contrary to the obligation that animals' health must be good and their shelter must be clean and meet health conditions will be fined 4,344 lira. Those who fail to slaughter according to hygienic rules in a way that causes the least pain without frightening the animal, considering the specific conditions required by religious rules, and unauthorized individuals will face an administrative fine of 18,243 lira per animal. Those who violate the bans will face legal action by the relevant units of the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, and municipalities.
