A significant discount is expected in fuel prices starting Tuesday. According to industry sources, a price reduction of 7.25 TL for diesel and 1.38 TL for gasoline will be reflected at the pump on Tuesday. With this discount, diesel prices in some provinces will drop below 60 lira.
A double discount is expected in fuel prices starting Tuesday. While a 7.25 TL reduction in diesel is projected to be fully reflected at the pump, a 1.38 TL decrease in gasoline is expected to be passed on to consumers.
Following the decline in Brent oil prices and international product markets, the expectation of a discount in fuel has strengthened. According to information obtained from industry sources, a 7.25 TL reduction in the liter price of diesel is forecasted. This discount is expected to be fully reflected in pump prices.
DIESEL PRICES MAY FALL BELOW 60 TL
Based on current prices, the liter price of diesel stands at 67.05 TL on the European side of Istanbul, 66.91 TL on the Anatolian side of Istanbul, 68.16 TL in Ankara, and 68.43 TL in Izmir.
After the expected discount, the liter price of diesel is anticipated to drop to:
- 59.80 TL on the European side of Istanbul,
- 59.66 TL on the Anatolian side of Istanbul,
- 60.91 TL in Ankara,
- 61.18 TL in Izmir.
DISCOUNT CALCULATION MADE FOR GASOLINE AS WELL
For gasoline prices, a total discount of 5.50 TL has been calculated, with 1.38 TL of that amount expected to be reflected in pump prices.
According to current data, the liter price of gasoline is sold at 64.32 TL on the European side of Istanbul, 64.18 TL on the Anatolian side of Istanbul, 65.29 TL in Ankara, and 65.57 TL in Izmir.
WHAT WILL THE NEW PRICES BE?
If the expected discount takes effect, the liter price of gasoline is expected to drop to:
- 62.94 TL on the European side of Istanbul,
- 62.80 TL on the Anatolian side of Istanbul,
- 63.91 TL in Ankara,
- 64.19 TL in Izmir.
