In the Dörtdivan area of the Anatolian Highway, driver Yusuf Ergen and his wife Elif Ergen died at the scene when their car hit a direction sign pole; the couple's 6-year-old child was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
In Bolu, Yusuf Ergen (41) and his wife Elif Ergen (25) lost their lives when their car crashed into a direction sign pole at the Dörtdivan location of the Anatolian Highway. The couple's 6-year-old child, E.G., was seriously injured.
The accident occurred around 07:00 in the morning at the Dörtdivan location of the Anatolian Highway. According to information obtained, the car with license plate 55 AHR 866, driven by Yusuf Ergen traveling towards Ankara, crashed into the pole of a direction sign indicating the turn to Dörtdivan district at the intersection.
MOTHER AND FATHER DIED AT THE SCENE
Upon notification from other drivers who witnessed the horrific accident, health and gendarmerie teams were quickly dispatched to the scene. In initial checks by health teams arriving at the area, it was determined that driver Yusuf Ergen and his wife Elif Ergen, who was in the vehicle, lost their lives at the scene.
6-YEAR-OLD CHILD HOSPITALIZED
The couple's 6-year-old child, E.G., who survived the accident with serious injuries, was taken to Gerede State Hospital for treatment after initial intervention at the scene. The lifeless bodies of Yusuf and Elif Ergen were taken to the morgue of the same hospital after examinations at the scene. Gendarmerie teams have launched a comprehensive investigation into the accident.
