In Şanlıurfa, a woman who attempted to kidnap a newborn baby from a hospital by disguising herself as a nurse was released under judicial control. It was learned that the young woman had previously suffered a miscarriage, causing her emotional trauma.
H.İ.Ö., who was taken into custody on suspicion of entering Şanlıurfa Training and Research Hospital disguised as a nurse and attempting to kidnap a baby from the newborn unit by taking it into her arms, was released under judicial control.
HOSPITAL STAFF MEMBER BECAME SUSPICIOUS
The incident occurred at Şanlıurfa Training and Research Hospital in the Eyyübiye district on Tuesday night around 03:40. According to allegations, a woman named H.İ.Ö., entering the hospital disguised as a nurse, claimed she would take a baby from the newborn unit to intensive care. A hospital staff member, suspicious of the situation, accompanied the woman in nurse disguise. Panicking when the staff member did not leave her side, the woman fled, abandoning the baby. Upon notification, police teams were dispatched to the scene.
HAD SUFFERED TRAUMA
Police teams, reviewing security camera footage, identified the woman and apprehended her in the Eyyübiye district. After completing procedures at the police station, she was referred to the courthouse. H.İ.Ö. was released under judicial control by the duty court. It was learned that the young woman had previously suffered emotional trauma due to a miscarriage.
